Testimony

Thorian, a former respected guardian of the village, was found dead in his home, an ancient dagger in his belly. He had been working on an old discovery related to the village’s origins ; something he found deeply troubling. You must investigate and uncover his killer by questioning the villagers.

Why I think it fits the theme: The truth in this story is never on the surface. In the village, every smile hides a grudge, every denial masks a half-truth. What you don’t see are the lies, the secrets, and the motives buried under years of routine and familiarity. Clues are scattered not only in conversations, but also in the world itself: a misplaced object, a forgotten note, ... The killer’s identity is hidden not just by the shadows of the night, but by a web of conflicting testimonies, misleading evidence, and personal biases. To uncover the truth, you must look beyond what is said… and start noticing what is left unsaid.
